A very special project similar and in continuation to the former well known „Jazzahead“ Quintet.
"One More Once", the titlesong of the Michel Camilo production might as well serve as a slogan for this project of Heinz von Hermann. Is this year his 75th birthday and being 56 years on stage as a professional musician.
This time the lineup consist of trombone and tenorsax/flute in the frontline, backed by a rhythmsection with additional percussion in order to focus more on latinamerican music.
Besides a "best of" songs of his career up till now the repertoire includes new original compositions written for this band as well as new special arrangements from the books of Horace Silver, Stanley Turrentine, Michel Camilo, Clare Fisher, Tito Puente, the Jazz Crusaders….
The personnell consists of (apart from Heinz v. Hermann):
Johannes Herrlich (tbn), Markus Gaudriot (p), Uwe Urbanowski (bass), Walter Grassmann (dr), Andi Steirer (perc).
As aspecial highlight, fully integrated with special written arrangements for this band the well known singer Carole Alston joins the band.
